BUTTERMILK POUND CAKE 
3 c. sugar
1 lb. butter
1/2 c. shortening
8 eggs
3 c. flour
1 c. fine chopped pecans
1 c. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. butter flavor
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. lemon flavor
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese (softened)

Combine sugar, butter and oil; beat until smooth. Beat in eggs one at a time well. Add flour and milk alternately; mix well. Dissolve soda in 1 tablespoon water; add, stir well. Add flavors; mix well. Bake 1 hour 15 minutes at 350 degrees.
