CHOCOLATE FUDGE SAUCE 
1/2 c. butter
4 sqs. unsweetened chocolate
3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 (14 oz.) can evaporated milk

In top of double boiler, over hot water, melt butter. Add chocolate and melt. Add sugar, 4 tablespoons at a time. Be sure sugar is moistened after each addition. The sauce becomes very thick and dry. Add salt. Stir in evaporated milk, a little at a time. (Add 1 teaspoon vanilla). Serve hot. Makes one quart. Keep in refrigerator and reheat over hot water. This make a great gift at Christmas.
