MAPLE OAT BANANA BREAD 
1 3/4 c. whole wheat flour
1 c. rolled oats
2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. sugar
4 to 5 med. bananas, mashed
4 eggs
1 c. vegetable shortening (Crisco)
1 c. chopped walnuts

Grease and dust baking pan. Combine flour, salt, and soda. In mixer, cream shortening and sugar. Add dry ingredients. Mix in bananas, eggs, and walnuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

GLAZE:

1 c. powdered sugar
1 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tsp. maple flavoring

Pour over bread while hot in loaf pan. Let cool, then turn out.
