1 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 ( 5 3/4 oz.) pkg. chocolate kisses
1 c. finely chopped pecans or walnuts
Sifted confectioners sugar

Mix butter, sugar, vanilla on medium speed until light and fluffy. Add flour and nuts. Blend well. Chill dough 30 minutes. Shape one tablespoon of dough around kiss. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees for 12 minutes or until cookies are set, but not brown. Cool slightly before removing from pan. Roll in confectioners sugar while still warm.
