FRUIT BREAD 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. mashed ripe bananas
1/4 c. chopped maraschino cherries
1/4 c. chocolate bits
1/4 c. nuts

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Sift flour and soda; add alternately with banana to egg mixture.

Mix in remaining ingredients. Pour into oiled 4 1/2 x 9 inch loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees for an hour. While still warm, drizzle with powdered sugar icing. Makes 1 loaf.
