SOUR CREAM COFFEE CAKE | |
1 box white cake mix 1/2 c. sugar 4 eggs 3/4 c. vegetable oil 1 c. sour cream FILLING: 4 tbsp. brown sugar 2 tsp. cinnamon 3/4 c. nuts, chopped To the cake mix, add sugar, sour cream and the oil. Blend well. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each. Grease and flour a large tube pan. Pour in half the batter. Mix brown sugar, cinnamon and nuts. Sprinkle some of this mixture over the batter, reserving some for the top. Add the remaining batter, then sprinkle some for the top. Add the remaining batter, then sprinkle the rest of the brown sugar mixture on top. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour. Test cake before removing from the oven. Cool 10 minutes. GLAZE: 1 c. powdered sugar 2 tbsp. milk |
