OATMEAL COOKIES 
1 1/2 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
6 egg whites
2 c. rolled oats
3 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 c. raisins, soaked in hot water

Cream butter and sugars. Add egg whites. Mix. Add remaining ingredients. Take rounded tablespoons of cookie dough. Roll in sugar. Put on greased cookie sheet and press with floured fork. Bake in 375 degree oven for 12 minutes. Cool. Makes 6 dozen.

ICING (Optional):

1/4 c. milk
1/4 c. butter
1 lb. pkg. powdered sugar

Put all ingredients into bowl. Beat with electric beaters until smooth and creamy. Frost cookies when cooled.
