HOT MULLED CIDER 
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. salt; optional
2 qt. cider
1 tsp. whole allspice
1 tsp. whole cloves
3 inches stick cinnamon
Dash of nutmeg

Combine brown sugar, salt, and cider. Tie spices in small piece of cheesecloth or tea ball tin. Simmer covered 20 minutes. Remove spices. Serve hot; use cinnamon sticks as stirrers. Makes 10 servings.

Very good in cold weather or after football game.
