1 German chocolate cake mix
1 stick butter
1 pkg. caramel candy
1 c. pecans, chopped
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Mix cake mix as directed, bake 1/2 of batter in oblong pan, about 15-20 minutes. Melt stick of butter, unwrap caramels and add to butter until all is melted. Spread out on first half of cake. Sprinkle 1 cup pecans and chocolate chips over this, then pour other 1/2 of cake batter on top and bake until done.
