HOT CHEESE DIP 
1/4 c. finely chopped green onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 tsp. dried tarragon, crushed
1 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. cornstarch
3/4 c. milk
2 c. shredded American cheese
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, cut up
French bread cubes or tortilla chips

In a saucepan cook onion, garlic, and tarragon in butter. Stir in cornstarch. Add milk all at once. Cook and stir till thickened and bubbly. Gradually add cheeses, stirring till melted. Serve with bread or chips.

Makes 2 cups.
