ORIENTAL FRUIT APPETIZERS | |
75 bite size pieces of fruit: peaches, bananas, oranges, apples, bananas, pineapple, kiwi, etc. 1 c. cornstarch 1/4 c. butter Roll piece of fruit in cornstarch. Saute in butter until lightly browned. An electric griddle works well. Drain piece on absorbent paper. Combine: 1 c. maple flavored syrup 2 tsp. toasted sesame seeds Heat to boiling. Put syrup mixture and 1 cup sesame seeds in separate bowls. With toothpick spear pieces of fruit and dip them into syrup and then into seeds. Serve with picks on large tray. Makes 75. |
