CHARLOTTE 
3 env. unflavored gelatin
1/2 c. cold water
1/2 c. hot water
1 c. sugar
1 qt. whipping cream, whipped stiff
6 egg whites, beaten stiff
1 tsp. vanilla
Pinch of salt

Soak gelatin in cold water; dissolve in hot water. Add 1/2 cup sugar to warm gelatin. Add remaining sugar to cream. Mix cream and egg whites; add vanilla and salt. Fold into gelatin mixture; pour in large mold. Refrigerate. Yield 12 servings.
