ZESTY BREAD STICKS 
1/2 loaf French or Italian bread (10 x 4 inch)
1/2 c. butter, softened
1/2 tsp. chervil
1/2 tsp. basil
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. onion powder

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Cut half loaf in half lengthwise, then cut each half lengthwise again to make 3 wedges. In small bowl combine remaining ingredients, blend well. Spread onto cut surfaces of bread wedges. Bake on ungreased 15 x 10 inch baking sheet for 7 to 9 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm. Yields 6 (10 inch) sticks.
