ALMOND POPPY SEED LOAF | |
3 c. flour 1 1/2 c. milk 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 1/2 tsp. poppy seeds 2 1/4 c. sugar 1 1/8 c. vegetable oil 3 eggs 1 1/2 tsp. each almond and vanilla extract Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Mix all ingredients with mixer for 2 minutes. Bake in greased loaf pans for 1 to 1 1/4 hours. Cool 10 minutes. Turn out onto foil. Glaze: Dissolve 3/4 cup sugar in 1/4 cup orange juice. Add 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Pour over warm bread. Cool and slice. |
