PECAN TASSIES 
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1/2 c. butter
1 1/4 c. sifted all purpose flour
1 egg
3/4 c. light brown sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. butter
1/4 tsp. salt
2/3 c. pecan pieces

Soften cream cheese and butter to room temperature. Blend together. Stir in flour. Chill 1 hour. Shape in 1 inch balls. Place in ungreased muffin tins. These are the small muffin tins.

FILLING: Beat 1 egg and add 3/4 cup light brown sugar, 1 tablespoon melted butter, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla, 1/4 teaspoon salt and 2/3 cup pecan pieces. Pour in pastry. Bake at 325 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or until mixture is set.
