STUFFED CABBAGE CASSEROLE 
1 1/2 lb. hamburg
1 lg. onion, chopped
1 c. cooked rice
24 oz. tomato sauce
Salt to taste
1 head cabbage, chopped
1 c. water
1 tbsp. sugar

Brown meat in large skillet. Add onion and cook until transparent. Add rice, 8 ounces tomato sauce, sugar and salt.

Place three or four large cabbage leaves on bottom of a roaster. Add a layer of chopped cabbage. Top with meat mixture. Add remaining chopped cabbage. Pour water and remaining tomato sauce over casserole. Cover and bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour.
