BROCCOLI MUSHROOM CHOWDER 
1 lb. broccoli
8 oz. mushrooms, sliced
2 stacks butter
1 c. flour
1 qt. chicken broth
1 qt. half & half
1/4 tsp. tarragon leaves
Salt and pepper to taste

Steam broccoli in 1/2 cup water; do not drain. Melt butter in pan; add flour and cook 2 to 4 minutes. Add chicken stock. Stir with wire whip; bring to boil. Add broccoli, mushrooms, half & half, and spices; heat. Do not boil.
