BUTTERMILK POUND CAKE 
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Blend in eggs and vanilla. Add combined dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk. Mixing well. Pour into greased and floured 10 inch tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees 1 hour and 5 minutes or until wooden pick comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes. Cool and use Vanilla Glaze.
