CHERRY PUDDING CAKE | |
1 1/2 c. presifted flour 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 c. butter 2 c. sugar 1 egg 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. milk 2 c. canned sour cherries 1 c. hot water or cherry juice 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease pan. 2. Sift flour, baking powder and salt. 3. Cream butter and 1 cup sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla, stir in milk alternately with flour mixture. 4. Turn batter into cake pan and sprinkle cherries over batter then sprinkle 1 cup sugar over cherries. Pour hot water or cherry juice over all. 5. Bake in 350 degree preheated oven for 35-45 minutes or until it shrinks away from sides of pan. |
