EASY 1800'S SYRUP PIE | |
2 c. sorghum syrup 2 beaten eggs 1 c. buttermilk 1 tsp. baking powder 1/4 c. butter 5 tbsp. flour 1 unbaked pie crust Bring syrup to a boil and add soda and beat well. Add flour, buttermilk, butter and eggs. Don't boil while beating ingredients together. Remove from heat and pour into pie shell and bake slowly until knife comes out clean. Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes. |
