CARAMEL APPLE PIE | |
2 1/2 c. Granny Smith apples, thinly sliced 1/2 c. granulated sugar 1/4 c. all-purpose flour 20 caramels 3 tbsp. milk 1 Pet-Ritz pie crust shell 3/4 c. chopped pecans La Creme whipped topping, thawed Preheat oven and baking sheet to 400°F. In a medium bowl, combine apples, sugar and flour; set aside. In a double boiler, melt caramels with milk, stirring frequently. Add apple mixture. Spoon mixture into pie crust and top with nuts. Bake on preheated baking sheet for 25 minutes. Allow to cool 1 hour. Serve warm or cold. Garnish with whipped topping. |
