MY FAVORITE BEEF STEW 
2 lb. cut up stew beef
1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. salt
Little pepper
Little paprika
2 tbsp. fat or meat drippings
2 tbsp. catsup
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
Wonder flour to thicken gravy

Melt fat in a heavy deep pot. Brown on all sides. Sprinkle remaining flour over beef. Add hot water to cover. Cover pot and simmer 2 hours. Now add prepared vegetables - potatoes, carrots, onions, etc., and special seasonings (catsup and Worcestershire sauce, etc.). Remove vegetables when tender to thicken gravy. If necessary, add Kitchen Bouquet to brown.
