HAMBURGER CASSEROLE | |
2 lbs. ground beef 1 c. sour cream 1 (16 oz.) can tomato sauce 1 lg. bell pepper (chopped) 1 lg. onion (chopped) 1 block Cheddar cheese 1 tsp. garlic salt (more if desired) 2 cans biscuits (10 each can) Cook ground beef in skillet and drain. Add onion, bell pepper, garlic salt, sour cream and tomato sauce and cook over medium heat until onion and bell pepper are soft (about 20 minutes). Grease 10x13 baking dish. Take one can of biscuits and pull apart at center and line dish - 4 across and 5 down. Pour in beef mixture. Then take the other can of biscuits and pull apart at center and line the top of the beef mixture - 4 across and 5 down. Grate the Cheddar cheese and cover the top and bake in 350 degree oven for 25 to 30 minutes. Note: I find that the Hungry Jack biscuits work the best. |
