MAWMAW'S BREAD PUDDING 
1 c. sugar
3 - 6 baked biscuits
Milk (canned Pet or Carnation is best)
1 tbsp., vanilla
4 egg yolks (save 2 or 3 whites for meringue)
6 tbsp. sugar

Grease pan, cake pan or baking dish; break biscuits into pieces, put in pan and cover with milk. Let biscuits soak up milk. Add vanilla and egg yolks. Stir 1 cup sugar, vanilla and egg yolks together. Bake at 350 degrees until brown on top. Add meringue and bake until meringue is golden brown (12 to 15 minutes). For meringue, have egg whites at room temperature. Beat until soft peaks form, gradually add sugar to beaten egg whites. Beat until stiff and glossy peaks form and all sugar is dissolved. Note: Can serve plain or with sugar and milk.
