3/4 c. butter
1 egg
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 c. nuts

Cream butter, sugar, egg, cream of tartar and vanilla. Mix well. Add flour; chill. Roll and slice.
