CHEESE STRATA 
2 lbs. bacon
Slices of white bread (remove crust)
White American cheese
10 or 11 eggs
1 1/2 c. milk

Cut bacon into small pieces. Fry until crisp. Drain. In 9 x 13 inch pan, SLIGHTLY GREASED, fill in bottom with slices of white bread to cover bottom of pan. Put bacon bits evenly over bread. Put in another layer of bread slices, over this put a layer of American cheese, more bread to cover. Beat eggs, milk until fluffy. Pour over bread in pan to completely cover. Put in refrigerator overnight to soak through all layers.

In the morning bake at 350 degrees approximately 3/4 hour. Shortly before removing from oven place slices of American cheese on top. Return to oven until cheese melts or browns lightly.

NOTE: IF YOU WANT TO MAKE A SMALL 9 INCH PAN:

4 slices bread
1/2 lb. bacon
6 or 7 eggs and 1 c. milk
4 bread
6 cheese
4 bread
