BUBBA B'S BARBECUE SAUCE 
1 tbsp. olive oil
2 med. onions, chopped
3 cloves garlic, chopped
32 oz. ketchup
3 tbsp. relish
1 c. black strap molasses
2 tbsp. dry mustard
1/2 c. Karo syrup

SUBSTITUTIONS: Minced or powdered onion for fresh; minced or powdered garlic for fresh.

Cook onions in olive oil until soft (and browned, if desired). Add the rest of the ingredients. Simmer for 1/2 hour. Brush onto chicken, hamburgers, etc., every time it is turned. Refrigerate up to 1 month. Freezes well.
