SEA FOAM CANDY | |
2 c. brown sugar, packed 1/2 c. water 2 egg whites, beaten very stiff 1 tsp. vanilla 1/4 c. English walnuts, chopped (I double this recipe.) Cook sugar and water until it reaches 265 degrees F. on candy thermometer. Pour over egg whites slowly, beating as you pour. Add flavor and nuts. Beat until stiff and creamy. Drop by spoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet. Press a half walnut on each piece. Recipe makes 3 dozen pieces. Real good! |
