TIJUANA TORTE 
1 lb. ground beef
1 med. onion, chopped
1 lb. can tomatoes, cut up
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 (4 oz.) can chopped green chilies
1 pkg. taco seasoning
1 doz. corn tortillas
1 lb. grated Cheddar cheese
8 oz. sour cream
Chopped lettuce

Brown meat and onions; drain and discard fat. Add tomatoes, chilies, and seasoning; simmer 10 minutes. Place small amount of meat mix in 9 x 13 inch pan. Put 6 tortillas on top (cut 3 in half). Layer 1/2 of meat mix, 1/2 cheese; repeat layers with cheese on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes, uncovered. Let sit 10 minutes. Serve with sour cream on top; sprinkle with chopped lettuce.
