GRANDMOTHER'S JAM CAKE 
2 eggs whole
1 egg yolk
1 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. sour milk
1 1/2 c. strawberry jam
2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 c. butter

Beat eggs; add sugar, milk and jam. Add soda, baking powder and spices to flour. Mix with egg mixture. Melt butter and blend all mixtures well. Bake in 3 layers 25 minutes at 375 degrees. Put together with caramel filling.
