CHEESY CHICKEN SANDWICHES | |
1 c. cooked, cubed chicken or 5 oz. can boned chicken, drained 1/4 tsp. instant minced onion 1/8 tsp. pepper 3/4 c. (3 oz.) shredded cheddar cheese 2 tbsp. chopped pimento, if desired. 1/3 c. dairy sour cream 8 oz. can Pillsbury refrigerated quick crescent or Italian flavored crescent dinner rolls 1 egg, slightly beaten Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In medium bowl combine first 6 ingredients. Separate crescent dough into 4 rectangles; firmly press perforations to seal (this prevents filling leakage during baking). Spoon cup meat mixture on one end of each rectangle. Fold dough in half over meat mixture. Press edges to seal. Brush with egg. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Refrigerate any leftovers. Yield: 4 sandwiches. (HIGH ALTITUDE: no change) |
