1 c. soft butter 1 egg yolk 2 c. flour 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 c. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 c. pecans, coarsely chopped 1 egg white Beat butter until soft and creamy; add sugar a little bit at a time. Then vanilla. Beat well. Add egg yolk and beat well again. Add flour and mix well. Add cinnamon and baking soda. Grease an 11 x 16 inch cookie sheet. Pat out dough to cover entire pan. Place waxed paper over dough and press down with rolling pin to smooth dough. Remove waxed paper, brush dough with egg white. Sprinkle nuts on top and bake at 325 degrees for 35-40 minutes. Cut into squares while still warm. |
