BARBECUE SAUCE | |
1/2 tsp. onion salt 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. celery salt 1/2 tsp. chili powder 2 tbsp. brown sugar 2 tbsp. vinegar 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1/2 c. ketchup 1 c. water Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and simmer briefly. Baste on meat as it cooks on grill or in oven; or pour over browned meat (chicken, beef, or pork). Put a lid on it and cook on very low heat until meat is tender. Sauce is thin and will thicken on meat as it is basted. Also delicious - Make sauce. Put shredded meat (chicken, beef, or pork) in large pan. Add sauce and simmer together about one hour. Makes unbelievable sweet barbecue sandwiches out of leftovers! |
