BONNIE'S FRUIT COBBLER 
1 stick or 1/2 c. butter
1 can fruit, peaches, blueberries, apples or cherries
1/2 c. sugar, omit if fruit is already sweetened
1 c. liquid, juice from fruit plus water to equal 1 c.
1 c. self-rising flour
1 c. sugar
2/3 c. milk

Put butter, fruit, sugar (if needed) and liquid from fruit in 8 x 8 x 2 inch pan. Heat until butter is melted. Mix flour and sugar; add milk and stir until smooth. Pour batter evenly over fruit mixture. (Batter usually sinks to bottom of pan but rises after cooking.) Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes. Serve hot or warm. Suitable for freezing.
