CHICKEN AND RICE 
1/2 stick butter
2 c. rice
8-10 pieces chicken
2 cans cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup
2 env. onion soup mix
Salt and pepper
Water

9x13 pan, butter bottom and sides.

Pour in 2 cups rice. Cut remaining butter over rice. Place chicken over top of rice.

In a pot mix 2 cans soup and onion soup mix. Pour over chicken. Fill water enough only to cover chicken. Salt and pepper to taste. Cover with foil. Bake 350 degrees for 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Take foil off 10 minutes before done to brown.
