STREUSEL COFFEE CAKE 
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. milk
2 tsp. baking powder

TOPPING:

1/2 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. flour
2 tbsp. melted butter
2 tbsp. flour
2 tsp. cinnamon

Mix thoroughly sugar, shortening and egg. Stir in milk, flour and baking powder and salt. Spread in greased and floured 9 inch square pan. Sprinkle with topping.

For topping mix dry ingredients first then stir in butter. Bake at 375 for 25- 35 minutes. When cool, if you wish, take a little powdered sugar and mix with milk until thick (like glue) then drizzle over the top of coffee cake.
