1 c. butter
1 c. dark brown sugar
2 c. flour
1 beaten egg yolk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 lg. milk chocolate Hershey bar
1 c. chopped nuts

Cream butter, add brown sugar, work until light and fluffy. Add beaten egg yolk, vanilla and sifted flour. Mix thoroughly. Spread thinly on a cookie sheet (one with sides) and bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.

Melt chocolate bar in a double boiler and spread on the cookie surface while warm. Sprinkle with chopped nuts, let cool. Cut into squares or bars. My family just loves them. Very, very good.
