EASY CORNBREAD | |
1 c. flour 4 tsp. baking powder 1/4 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 1 c. cornmeal 1 c. milk 1 egg 1/4 c. stick butter Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Melt butter in 8 x 8 inch pan in oven while you are preparing corn bread. Sift flour and baking powder. Add sugar, salt and cornmeal; mix. Then add milk and egg. Stir until smooth, about 1 minute. Remove pan from oven and spread cornbread mixture in pan over melted butter. Mix together just enough to coat cornbread. Bake at 425 degrees for 20 minutes. |
