TURTLE SOUP 
3 lbs. ground beef
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 sm. can tomato paste
1 can beef bouillon
1/2 c. white vinegar
1 lemon, sliced thin
Salt and pepper, to taste
Bag of spices
3 or 4 bay leaves
3 or 4 carrots, grated
3 lbs. rice
1 lg. onion, diced
2 qts. water

Brown ground beef and drain off fat. Mix together all other ingredients and cook over low heat for about three hours. Add 1/2 cup or more wine.
