MAPLE DROPS 
Part 2 (Maple Frosting):

1/2 c. butter
2 c. powdered sugar
2 tsp. maple flavor
2 to 4 tbsp. hot water

Mix well and spread on Maple Drop Cookies.

Part 1:

1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 tsp. maple or vanilla flavoring
2 eggs

Mix all together. Heat oven to 350°F. Drop by level tablespoon about 2-inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake about 10 minutes. Remove and cool. Frost with maple frosting.
