FREEZER SLAW 
1 qt. cabbage, shredded
2 c. cold water
1 tbsp. salt
1/2 c. vinegar
1/2 c. water
1 c. sugar

Soak cabbage in 2 cups water and salt for 2 hours. Heat vinegar, water and sugar to boiling. Let cool. Drain cabbage. Add to vinegar mixture when completely cooled.

Add celery seed, mustard seed, shredded carrots, etc. for variation! Keeps in freezer indefinitely.
