CHRISTMAS CARAMEL CHEWS 
3 sticks butter
2 c. oatmeal
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
12 oz. bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
64 caramels
10 tbsp. milk

Crumb first six ingredients together. Spread in 9 x 13 inch pan, reserving 1/3 of mixture for top. Bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Sprinkle a 12 ounce bag semi-sweet chocolate morsels over baked oatmeal mixture. Melt 64 caramels and 10 tablespoons of milk and pour over top. Sprinkle remaining crumbs over this and bake 15 minutes more at 350 degrees.
