STRAWBERRY SQUARES 
1 c. sifted all purpose flour
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. melted butter
2 egg whites
1 c. granulated sugar
2 c. fresh sliced strawberries or 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 c. whipping cream

Mix flour, brown sugar, nuts and melted butter and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes, stirring a couple times (use shallow 9 x 13 inch pan) use 2/3 of crumbs bottom and save rest for top. Let this cool. Combine white sugar, lemon juice and strawberries beat 10 minutes at high speed and then fold in whipped cream. Spoon this over crumbs and top with remaining crumbs. Freeze 6 hours. If frozen thawed strawberries are used, reduce sugar to 2/3 cup.
