GRANDMA'S SOUTHERN FRIED CHICKEN 
3 lb. chicken pieces
1 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. dried (pulverized) oregano
1/2 c. light sorgum syrup or dark Karo syrup

Mix flour, salt, pepper and oregano. Add 2 tablespoons water to syrup. Dip or coat chicken with diluted syrup then cover with flour mixture; brown in frying pan then put in 9 x 12 inch glass pan or dish and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
