HAMBURGER - CHEESE BAKE | |
1 lb. ground chuck 1 c. chopped onion 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce 1 (8 oz.) tomato paste 1 tsp. sugar 3/4 tsp. salt 1 tsp. ground garlic 1/4 tsp. black pepper 8 oz. med. noodles 1 carton cream cottage cheese 1 (8 oz.) softened cream cheese 1 sm. carton sour cream 1 sm. chopped green pepper 2 c. sliced fresh mushrooms 1/2 c. shredded Parmesan cheese 1/2 c. sharp cheddar cheese 1 bunch of green spring onions Brown beef and onions. Stir in tomato sauce and paste, salt, garlic, salt and pepper. Cook noodles, drain. Combine sour cream, creamed cheese, cottage cheese, green onions, green pepper in medium bowl. Spread 1/2 noodles in 11 x 7 x 1 1/2 inch Pyrex. Top with half of cheese mixture. Top with half of tomato- meat mixture. Layer remaining, sprinkle with cheeses. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees. |
