TEXAS STRAW HATS 
1 c. onion, chopped
2/3 c. celery, chopped
2/3 c. green pepper, chopped
3 tbsp. oil
2 lbs. ground beef
2 to 3 tsp. chili powder
Salt to taste
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
1/2 c. ketchup
2 c. water
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
Dash of Tabasco sauce
Tostada chips (or nacho chips)
Cheese, shredded

In large skillet, cook onions, celery and green pepper in oil until tender. Brown beef separately. Drain. Mix beef with onion, celery and green pepper. Add remaining ingredients except chips and cheese. Simmer, uncovered, for about 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Serve on chips. Top generously with cheese. Serves 6.
