NORWEGIAN, SOFT SUGAR COOKIES 
3 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. softened raisins
1/2 c. sour cream

Mix shortening, sugar, egg and vanilla. Mix in flour mixture alternately with sour cream. Add raisins; roll out on lightly floured board to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut with cookie cutter and sprinkle with sugar. Bake 12 minutes at 375 degrees until golden brown.
