6 eggs 2 1/4 lbs. Farmer cheese 1/2 lb. butter 1/2 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. sugar 4 med. onions DOUGH: 3 c. flour 1 stick butter 1 c. sour cream 2 egg yolks 1 whole egg Saute 1/2 pound butter with 4 medium onions. Combine with rest of the filling ingredients. Refrigerate for 1 hour. Blend with a pastry blender the 3 cups flour and stick of butter. To that mixture, add sour cream, egg yolks, and egg. Mix this with your hands. Roll out pastry thin. Cut and stuff with filling. Put in boiling water, let rise to the top. Remove, lay out on linen towel to drain. Refrigerate or freeze with wax paper. |
