NUTMEG ROLLS 
Frosting:

3 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. rum flavoring
1/2 c. confectioners sugar
2-3 tbsp. undiluted evaporated milk

Cream butter with vanilla and rum. Blend in confectioners sugar alternately with evaporated milk. Beat well after each addition until it reaches spreading consistency. Spread on cooled cookies.

Cookies:

1 egg, unbeaten
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. rum flavoring

Sift together flour and nutmeg. Set aside. Cream butter. Gradually add sugar to the butter and cream well. Blend in egg, vanilla and rum flavoring. Add gradually to the dry ingredients and mix thoroughly.

Shape pieces of dough on a lightly floured surface into long rolls, about 1/2 inch in diameter. Cut in 3-inch lengths. Place on ungreased baking sheets.

Bake at 350°F for 12-15 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool. Spread frosting on top and sides of cookies. Mark frosting with the tines of a fork to resemble bark. Sprinkle lightly with nutmeg.
