FLUFFY BISCUITS 
2 1/4 c. flour
4 tsp. baking powder
2 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. milk or cream
1 egg
1/3 c. shortening

Place dry ingredients in bowl. Cut in the shortening. Add milk and egg. Mix with a fork and knead 5 or 6 times, until well combined. Roll out to 1/2" thick and cut. Bake, touching each other. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Yield: 16. Also makes a wonderful topping for meat pies.
